What we can discuss

Real questions. Individual answers.

These are concerns you can discuss during psychiatric evaluation and follow-up care, not separate programs you must choose between. Symptoms often overlap. An evaluation considers your history, experiences, goals and other possible explanations; medication is considered when appropriate.

The reading links below are optional educational resources, not additional steps required to request care.

01 / Anxiety & panic

When worry starts running your day.

Persistent worry, panic, or burnout can affect sleep, focus, work, and relationships. These experiences can overlap.

  • Worry, tension, or feeling constantly on edge.
  • Exhaustion or stress that affects daily life.
02 / Depression & mood

When you don't feel like yourself.

Changes in mood, interest, energy, or sleep can have different causes. An evaluation can help clarify what is happening.

  • Low mood, lost interest, or irritability.
  • Disrupted sleep or changes in energy.
03 / Pregnancy & postpartum

You deserve support through major changes.

Persistent mood or anxiety concerns during pregnancy or after birth deserve timely, individualized support.

  • Overwhelming sadness, worry, or guilt.
  • Changes affecting daily routines and functioning.
04 / Stress, burnout & sleep

When the demands don't let up.

Caregiving, changing roles, healthcare work, grief, and chronic stress can affect mental well-being. Trouble sleeping and exhaustion may warrant assessment, particularly when they overlap with anxiety or mood changes.

Useful to consider: What is draining your energy, and how have sleep and daily routines changed?

06 / Life transitions & affirming care

Care that considers your experiences.

Your identity is not a diagnosis. LGBTQ+ adults and people navigating cultural, family, relationship, or work changes deserve respectful, culturally responsive care.

  • Questions about affirming psychiatric care.
  • Stress or mood changes through a major life change.
07 / Trauma-related questions

Room to discuss what is affecting you.

Distressing experiences can affect sleep, sense of safety, and daily life. Psychiatric evaluation can help clarify next steps, including referrals when appropriate.

  • Feeling on edge or avoiding reminders.
  • Distressing memories or sleep disruption.
